Meet STANSOL ENERGY, S.L. – Renewable Energy and Solar Structure Specialists in NEVERFLAT

Cristian Beceanu

Technical Development Engineer

“We are developing the end-user applications and user interfaces, which will cover all the functions needed to optimise the use of EV charging stations based on user needs — including fleet owners and managers in Work Package 4.3 on End-user applications and tools. We are also working on the deployment and demonstration of the pilot site in Romania together with Alba Iulia in Work Package 5.4, and on communicating project outcomes, engaging stakeholders, and exploring ways to adopt the project’s innovations.”

Meet BEIA Consult International – Supporting Digital Innovation in NEVERFLAT

BEIA Consult International, based in Romania, is one of the technical partners in the NEVERFLAT project. They bring strong experience in research, engineering, and the development of digital platforms across energy, telecoms, and mobility sectors.
BEIA GRID INSTITUT is an innovative non-profit organisation actively involved in multi-disciplinary research projects at both national and international levels. Its main goal is to improve participation in innovative projects by building partnerships and supporting knowledge sharing. To reach this, BEIA GRID INSTITUT carries out research, development, and innovation (RDI) activities; organises training, seminars, conferences, and public debates; offers advice and counselling; publishes materials such as books and brochures; and develops software programs in partnership with BEIA Consult International.

In NEVERFLAT, BEIA Consult International contributes to several work packages, focusing on the development and integration of software tools that support smart, two-way EV charging. Their work helps ensure that different parts of the system – from charging points to users and energy providers – can communicate clearly and respond in real time.

As BEIA Grid Institut puts it:
“We are developing the end-user applications and user interfaces, which will cover all the functions needed to optimise the use of EV charging stations based on user needs – including fleet owners and managers in Work Package 4.3 on End-user applications and tools. We are also working on the deployment and demonstration of the pilot site in Romania together with Alba Iulia in Work Package 5.4, and on communicating project outcomes, engaging stakeholders, and exploring ways to adopt the project’s innovations.”

BEIA is involved in:
• Designing and testing software and cloud-based services
• Supporting communication between EV charging stations and energy management systems
• Helping define interfaces that link data from multiple systems
• Contributing to system validation and user testing in the pilot areas
Their work supports Work Package 3 (Smart Grid Integration and Digital Infrastructure) and Work Package 5 (Demonstration and Deployment), where the solutions are put into real-world use across different European sites.
In addition to their technical role, BEIA also helps promote the project through outreach and engagement – including activities with younger audiences, schools, and local communities. This is part of their wider commitment to public awareness around energy, sustainability, and the role of digital technologies in everyday life.

With over 30 years of experience in applied research and participation in many European projects (including Horizon Europe, LIFE, and Eureka), BEIA helps ensure that the NEVERFLAT system is robust, user-friendly, and ready to adapt to future energy needs.
Their role in NEVERFLAT reflects their broader aim: to help shape smart solutions that are grounded in real use and that support the green and digital transitions taking place across Europe.
