In the NEVERFLAT project, one of the core technological components is the use of AI-powered forecasting tools to support the intelligent rollout and operation of EV charging infrastructure. These tools are designed to predict energy demand, support optimal charger placement, and help balance local energy loads in real time.

Smarter Planning Through Data

One of the biggest challenges for cities and service providers is deciding where and how many chargers to install. NEVERFLAT tackles this by developing predictive models that analyze historical data, traffic patterns, local energy consumption, and solar energy potential. This enables planners to make informed decisions, avoiding over- or under-provisioning of infrastructure.

Demand Forecasting and Load Management

NEVERFLAT’s forecasting tools do more than just support planning. They also help manage ongoing operations by predicting when and where energy demand will spike.
