Romanian Energy Center
The Romanian Energy Center (CRE) is a non-profit, non-governmental association based in Bucharest and Brussels. It brings together public and private energy companies and supports their participation in European projects and policy discussions.
CRE focuses on promoting innovation, digitalisation, and low-carbon energy transitions in Romania. It provides advisory services, shares industry knowledge, and helps members engage in EU-funded initiatives. CRE also organises events that connect energy stakeholders, decision-makers, and researchers.
Role in NEVERFLAT Project
Within the NEVERFLAT project, the Romanian Energy Center (CRE) supports the implementation and evaluation of activities at the Alba Iulia pilot site. It contributes to the coordination between the municipality and technical partners, helping ensure the integration of bi-directional EV charging infrastructure with local energy systems.
CRE also assists in collecting and analysing data related to user behaviour and socio-cultural context, contributing to the development of inclusive and efficient charging solutions. Its involvement builds on previous experience in EU energy projects, particularly in the areas of digitalisation and smart grid integration.
