Looking Back and Moving Forward: NEVERFLAT at ICNC 2025 and Ahead to GENERA 2025

At the Intercharge Network Conference (ICNC) 2025 in Berlin, the NEVERFLAT project was represented by Lüko Neuner-Jehle, Saiteja Koppisetti, and Abhishek Gupta, who actively engaged with innovators shaping the future of e-mobility and sustainable energy systems.

The team joined discussions with several key players in bidirectional charging and smart energy systems, including AMBIBOX (with CTO Kai Fieber), Rheinmetall (Curb Charger), and Octopus Energy. These exchanges focused on how Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technologies can transform local energy ecosystems—turning electric vehicles into flexible energy assets that support grid stability and renewable integration.

Through these dialogues, NEVERFLAT reaffirmed its commitment to exploring interoperable, secure, and user-centric charging architectures. Insights gathered at ICNC will directly inform the project’s ongoing work on pilot site deployment, standardization interfaces, and energy optimization strategies.

Next Stop: GENERA 2025 – Showcasing Solar Innovation

As the conversation around sustainable energy continues, Stansol, one of the NEVERFLAT partners, is preparing to present the photovoltaic canopy prototype for the project’s pilot site at GENERA 2025, held in Madrid from 18–20 November.

This prototype represents a tangible milestone for the project: an innovative solar-powered infrastructure that supports electric mobility while contributing to local energy self-sufficiency. By combining intelligent energy management with modular design, the canopy demonstrates how solar installations can seamlessly integrate with charging systems to create greener, more resilient urban spaces.
