We are excited to be part of the NEVERFLAT project and to contribute our expertise in charge point management systems to the important development of bidirectional charging. Together with our partners, we are developing innovative V2G solutions that will take the integration of e-mobility and energy systems to the next level and prove that electric vehicles are not part of the problem, but part of the solution when it comes to meeting the current challenges in a changing and volatile energy system.

Founded in 2015 as a spin-off specialising in electromobility backend systems, Grid & Co. has developed an operator platform and toolset that supports the operation, monitoring, billing and load management of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructures across diverse charging networks and business models.
At the heart of Grid & Co.’s offering is Gridware, a manufacturer-independent software platform designed for centralised control and administration of charging points and related services. Gridware enables operators to monitor charging stations in real time, manage dynamic load distribution, integrate into existing IT landscapes through APIs, and automate legally compliant billing for multiple user types — from spontaneous public users to corporate accounts and roaming partners.
Grid & Co.’s solutions emphasise interoperability, scalability and flexibility. Designed to interface with industry standards such as the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) and secure communication channels like mobile VPNs for charging station connectivity, Gridware supports modular integration into existing energy and mobility systems without locking operators into proprietary hardware.
The platform also supports white-label deployments, allowing operators and service providers to offer a fully branded user experience across customer touchpoints — from mobile apps to charging receipts and reporting dashboards. Integrated role and rights management, flexible tariff configurations, and multi-tenant capabilities enable different business partners and sub-clients to operate within a unified yet segregated infrastructure environment.

Role in Neverflat
In the NEVERFLAT project, Grid & Co. contributes expertise in digital charging infrastructure management and smart load control. Their platform capabilities align with the project’s goals of enhancing interoperability, enabling grid-aware charging strategies and supporting adaptive energy flows that respond to real-time grid conditions and demand. These functions support broader electrification efforts that integrate EVs into energy systems more intelligently, paving the way for grid-friendly charging and future Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) services.
